Application: use to improve the liver, gastrointestinal tract, stimulate appetite, as well as gout, rheumatism, arthrosis and other diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Traditional medicine recommends the use of yellow gentian rhizome for pulmonary tuberculosis, rheumatism, gout, as well as an expectorant. Gentian root is also prescribed for decreased production of gastric juice, flatulence, spasms and atony of the intestine, diseases of the liver and gall bladder. Outwardly, the gentian root is used for excessive sweating and as a wound healing agent.
Method of preparation: 1 tbsp. spoon chopped rhizomes pour 1 cup (200 ml) boiling water, leave for 8 hours, filter, take 1/3 cup 3 times a day.
Contraindications: pregnancy and lactation, individual intolerance.
