Application: it has an expectorant and mucolytic effects associated with the presence of saponins, essential oils (up to 4.3%) and mucus. It enhances sweating, has antipyretic properties, exhibits bactericidal, fungicidal, antiviral effects. It cultivates lactones (including alantolactone, isoalantolactone), causes increased microcirculation of the gastric mucosa, stimulates the production of mucopolysaccharides of protective mucus, and accelerates the healing of ulcers. Elecampane is rich in inulin (up to 44%).
Method of preparation: take in the form of a prepared broth 15-50 ml 3-6 times / day for 15-30 minutes before meals, and for diseases of the respiratory system in a warm form after eating. For diabetes, use the prepared cold infusion of 50-100 ml 2-3 times / day. In the form of a finished dosage form is used in appropriate doses.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to elecampane rhizomes.
