The use of calendula is effective in all cases when bactericidal agents are needed: for inflammation of the throat and oral cavity, gall bladder, stomach and duodenal ulcers, gastritis. Calendula has a calming effect on the central nervous system, reduces excitability and blood pressure, regulates the activity of the heart in violation of the heart rhythm. Calendula is also taken in the climacteric period, as well as a symptomatic remedy for inoperable forms of cancer. Under the influence of calendula in patients with cancer, intoxication decreases, dyspeptic symptoms disappear, sleep and appetite improve. The action of calendula is similar to the action of a strong antibiotic, especially in relation to staphylococci and streptococci.
