Application: mullein flowers are used for the preparation of various medications. The mucous substances contained in the flowers of the common mullein have a powerful antiviral effect. In the pharmacological aspect, mullein flowers have primarily anti-inflammatory, enveloping, expectorant and softening effects. Typically, drugs made from mullein are used to treat diarrhea and abdominal pain, treat wounds, and fight gout, warts, and hemorrhoids. Infusions and decoctions of mullein are successfully used to treat colds: tracheitis, bronchitis, laryngitis; digestive disorders: gastritis, enteritis, enterocolitis, colitis, diarrhea. Mullein decoctions also help with atherosclerosis, the initial stage of hypertension, influenza and the herpes virus. The leaves of the plant are used for inflammation of the bladder, kidney stone disease, severe swelling, mullein helps with gastritis, ulcers and hemorrhoids.
Method of preparation: Pour 1 filter bag with 1 cup (200 ml) boiling water and leave for 15 minutes, take 1/3 cup 3 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor, taking into account the nature, severity and characteristics of the course of the disease, the stability of the achieved therapeutic effect and tolerability of the drug.
